Chris Ford

Chris has been with BreakAway Speed since the facility first opened in 2007.

He played for Center High School in East Texas, participating in Baseball, Football and Powerlifting. During this time, he lettered 4 years in Baseball, 2 years in Football, and 1 year in Powerlifting. He was voted All-District in Baseball three times, All-State pitcher and District MVP. He was also First-team All-District tight-end in Football.

In college, he attended Texarkana Junior College, receiving All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, All-American Honors and Conference Pitcher of the year. Transferring to Houston Baptist University, he continued his success and became All-Conference pitcher as well as earning multiple Pitcher of the Week awards.

Chris was an Assistant Coach at HBU for a year in which the team placed third in the NAIA World Series. He then took over as Head Coach at Westbury Christian School from 2007-2009, where he helped build the program to where it is today.

Chris also played with current Major League Players Hunter Pence and Dallas Braden during his collegiate career.

He graduated from HBU in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology, and just recently received his Texas Teaching Certification. He is certified by the International Fitness Association.
