Nicole Pinaire - Pitching Coach

Nicole Pinaire began pitching in the Third Grade. In high school she was named Chicago Tribune First Team All-State in 1997 and 1998, and her high school team was 1997 Illinois Class A State Champion Runner-Up, while participating in the state tournament in 1996, 1997, 1998.

Nicole signed to play at the University of Southern Mississippi and played the first 6 games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury, while her team went on to participate in the 1999 Women’s College World Series. In 2000, she once again was injured in the first month of the season while the team went on to finish #4 in the country at the Women’s College World Series. Nicole transferred to Saint Louis University (SLU) in St. Louis, MO and was named to the C-USA Squad on four separate occasions. Nicole was named the SLU Most Inspirational Athlete and held 14 hitting and pitching individual records by the time she graduated from SLU.

During her college summers, Nicole played for the ASA Women’s Major team, the Saint Louis Saints. She was named 2nd team ASA All-American pitcher at Women’s Open Major national championships in 2002, and in 2003, she was named 1st team All-American utility player at the tournament. Nicole also played in Europe for the Dornbirn (Austria) Sharx in 2004, winning the Austrian national championships (MVP of that tournament).

Nicole recently earned her Ph.D. degree in Molecular & Cancer Biology from The University of Texas-Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Nicole is currently a full-time visiting Assistant Professor in Biology at Houston Baptist University.
