Tatiana Cortez attended Westside High School where she played softball all 4 years and was ranked in the top ten for homeruns and RBIs statewide.
She received a 4-year scholarship to play for ACC Boston College where she was a four year starter. She hit her first career homerun as a freshman against No. 4 Michigan. She led the team in RBIs with 49.
In her senior year, Tatiana was ranked in the pre-season Top 50 NCAA softball hitters, receivedd All ACC Second Team, the Inspiration Award at the Golden Eagles Awards, and the Athletic Director award for Academic Achievement.
She became Boston College’s leader in career homeruns 47, RBI 171 and total bases 353. She earned ESPN player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week in March 2017, following her performance on the field, which was after her father HPD Office Ronny Cortez was injured in the line of duty.
