BreakAway Speed is a full-service sports training facility in Houston. We offer a youth training program for many sports, all designed with speed-focused programs based on the philosophy that “Champions Are Built After Practice.”
One of the cornerstones of all of our youth sports programs is speed and agility development. Our philosophy for youth training programs is to develop maximum speed and power through the use of functional movements. Our trainers employ a wide range of sports performance training for youth through:
- Multi-joint strength and speed exercises
- Olympic lifting techniques to develop both power and strength
- Flexibility training
- Balance and agility training
- Injury prevention techniques
All of us at BreakAway Speed in Houston are dedicated to youth sports training that will help young athletes achieve their unique goals.
Baseball and Softball
BreakAway Speed has baseball and softball training programs to help young Houston athletes with youth pitching training through youth pitching drills that feature hands-on instruction in pickoffs and defensive work. Because we believe injury prevention is an essential part of any youth sports program, stretching techniques are also taught for both warm-up and cool-down.
We have several youth batting cages for youth batting drills which feature fundamentals of the swing. We also provide hitters with instruction on situational hitting and how to develop the two-strike approach.
BreakAway Speed hosts the BreakAway Bombers baseball teams that are part of a national youth sports program, competing at the 10U, 11U and 12U level. We also have softball teams that compete at the 16U and 18U level.
Track and Field
A very important part of youth running programs is speed work. At BreakAway Speed our youth workout programs for runners are designed to help young athletes become more aerobically fit so that they can move smoothly as well as with speed.
Soccer
BreakAway Speed soccer youth sports training programs provide young athletes with helpful tips and training ideas that will help them become better players and more knowledgeable students of this increasingly popular sport. With BreakAway Speed soccer training, a player can hone skills to make a great pass, score a game-changing goal or leave a defending opponent at a standstill.
Volleyball
Our volleyball youth sports coaches help players develop strong muscles that are essential for the jumping required to succeed in volleyball. They also provide instruction on drills and exercises that use body weight and dynamic movement to improve jumping ability. BreakAway Speed also sponsors 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 17U volleyball teams.
Tae Kwan Do
With the increased interest in mma training for youth, BreakAway Speed is proud to have Master Nir Moriah offering classes in Tae Kwan Do. Master Moriah has been teaching martial arts for twenty years, to students of all ages.
